Services
CIS Window Cleaning has been built up through three generations of a family and has been operating successfully for over 46 years now.
Steve Alger - one of the directors of the company has spent the last 40 years building the company up based on two core beliefs - Professional Service and a Personal Touch.
Originally based as a cleaning contractor Steve Alger has overseen the development of CIS to specialize in window cleaning but with the smaller profit margins that are associated with the cleaning industry - meaning you will receive the best window cleaning service but at a realistic and competitive price.
The single most important aspect to any company - whether that's you as a potential client or our staff and the working areas we attend.
Our staff are all fully aware of their need to fulfill their own requirements to ensure safe working practices and to make sure they are responsible for their actions.
Tom Alger as a director holds his IOSH Managing Safely certification and the management level within CIS Window Cleaning also hold an IOSH certificate to ensure that Health & Safety remains a key focus throughout the company.
As a company we have a responsibility to manage our effects on the environment and to consider how we effect that environment each day.
We therefore ensure we have a static system that fills throughout the night to minimize usage charges and ensure we hold up to 6000 litres of pure water at a time.
Our system is environmentally friendly with the use of recycling wherever possible with the water run - off and waste minimized to ensure the system is efficient in the extreme.
The use of the system in this way ensures we meet our own company policy of being committed to the environment and limiting waste and the impact this brings.
The single biggest change within the industry for window cleaning techniques over the past 20 years - all our staff are trained for the safe operation of the Reach & Wash system.
All poles are lightweight and operate directly off our water filled vans ensuring windows can be cleaned to a height of 80ft safely from the ground with hot water systems.
The hot water systems offer a more in depth and superior clean and finish than the cold water systems and allows work to continue successfully through severe weather conditions - whether that be extreme heat in the summer or freezing weather in the winter - the hot water is designed to combat both extremes and allow window cleaning to be completed efficiently and on time.
The use of water fed poles is another section of the industry that continues to change every year with the development of lighter and more efficient poles being brought to the market.
Gardener Poles are the market leader and we therefore ensure we speak with our supplier regularly to ensure we have the most up to date poles available.
The impact of the development of carbon fibre poles upon the environment is one angle that is essential to consider, and therefore the poles they produce are recycled and manufactured with a keen eye on environmental impact.
