In the summer of 1984, a 14 year old Danny Mckim was looking to make some extra pocket money. He borrowed his dad's window cleaning equipment and set out to get some of his own customers. The first job secured was the regency hair salon in broomlands street, amazingly some 31 years later the regency hair salon is still a customer. At 17 he took the decision to become a full time windowcleaner.
Over the years the business became known as windowcare. It has taken some time to build up to where we are today. Some interesting customers including Kenny Dalglish, Alan Thomson, Michael Mols and Ronald de Boer have come and gone. In more recent times St Mirren F.C, McDonald's and McCarthy & Stone have become customers. Windowcare have also linked up with Invest in Renfrewshire to help employ local people.
After cleaning windows locally it is hoped that Windowcare will be around for many years to come.
